...off to the garden. At the weekend, I took a stroll through the garden with my sweetheart and already had my eye on the first jobs. Our bee hotel urgently needs renovating before they want to move in. That will be the first work in the garden this year, when it's already so nice and warm, it won't take long for the little buzzers to come looking for homes.

First everything is dismantled, the rotten wood is sorted out, little plants and flower bulbs are dug up and everything is prepared to re-lay the wood. It really feels good to put your fingers in the soil again 🥰🤩

The first hoop is almost filled again. I moved the left one a little further back and turned it a little more towards the sun, I noticed that the right hotel was always better received because the sun shines on it longer, we want to keep our guests happy.

Next I collected moss and dry grass to fill the holes and gaps. Next to it is the second lattice hoop for filling. I didn't think it would go so well, it's exhausting but still fun.

So, both filled and blocked with moss. I put tar paper on top and fixed it with cable ties to keep the wood dry. When the ivy has grown back, you won't see any more of it. I've already sieved the soil, then I'll add a few new flowers and our guests can move in with full board. Tomorrow we'll continue....
