Why ..???

When you open the newspaper or turn on the news, the first headline is war. The killing in Ukraine has moved into the background, because elsewhere in this world terror and chaos and death is more current. This fact alone is as despicable as the wars themselves.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas is not only a breeding ground for hatred and violence in the Gaza Strip, this war contains so much explosive material that brings violence and hatred like wildfire to the whole world. It is people who die, no matter what nation or faith they have, people who want to live in peace, and then there are a few who do not want to let that happen, out of hatred, greed, envy, ......

Why is this hatred still being nurtured, why can't this cycle be broken???.

It is absolutely incomprehensible to me that nothing has been learned from history. It is the year 2023 and mankind can think of nothing else than to fight each other to solve conflicts. There were so many conflicts in the course of history that were carried out with weapons, the unspeakable agonies, the countless deaths must be enough reminder to do it better.

It makes me unspeakably sad, so much destruction, so much suffering, so many tears, so much death on one side and so little compassion, so little empathy from people who are in the fortunate position to live in a country where peace and prosperity are the norm.
